The story

Papyrus was never valuable because it was new.

    Cut

    Egyptians made papyrus from the pith of a river reed, sliced into long, thin strips.

    Pressed

    Two layers went down at right angles, then were pressed and dried in the sun into one sheet.

    Kept

    Sheets were pasted into rolls, and scribes wrote the headings in red ink. The rolls that lasted are the ones we still read.

$PAPYRUS works the same way. A fresh bag earns the base rate. Every day you hold, it ages, and an aged bag earns up to 3× from the Archive.

How do ages work?+

Reed 1× after 15 minutes, Pressed 1.25× at day 1, Sun-dried 1.5× at day 3, Inscribed 2× at day 7 and Scroll 3× at day 30. Or burn part of your bag to get there sooner: 5%, 10%, 25% and 50%. Your age is whichever is higher.

How is my share worked out?+

Score = value × age. Value is what your tokens, held plus burned, are worth today. Every hour the Archive pays out, and your USDC is your score ÷ everyone's score.

Why would I burn?+

To reach a higher age now instead of waiting a month. Most fees come in early, so a high age early counts most. Burned tokens still count in your score, and they shrink the supply for everyone.

What counts as selling?+

Any sell, and any transfer to another wallet. Either tears your sheet back to Reed. Tokens that arrive in a wallet start fresh.

Do I have to do anything?+

No. Hold $PAPYRUS and it ages on its own. Claim your USDC whenever you like, and burn if you want a higher age sooner.

Can I lose money?+

Yes. The token price can fall, and when trading slows the Archive pays less.
